Getting started

Accounts, verification, login and your first scan.

What is SEO Scan Lab?

SEO Scan Lab is a website SEO auditing and monitoring service. After creating an account you can run scans, review SEO Health scores and findings, explore reports, purchase a one-off Full SEO Audit, or subscribe to Monthly Monitoring.

The customer portal is organised into Dashboard, Websites, Reports, Monitoring, Agency, Billing and Account. Agency appears as the multi-website control centre when an Agency subscription is active.

Free Scan, Full SEO Audit and Monthly Monitoring

Free Scan: a limited introductory scan. The online report shows the SEO Health Score and the top three findings, while website-size discovery helps recommend the right paid audit level.

Full SEO Audit: a one-off paid full report. Pricing starts at the standard audit level for websites up to 1,000 pages, with a higher 10,000-page level available for larger sites. Both unlock the complete findings available from that scan and PDF download.

Monthly Monitoring: a recurring monthly service for one selected website, with automatic full scans of up to 10,000 pages, history, change tracking and PDF reports. It also includes one manual full scan of up to 10,000 pages every 7 days. Manual allowances do not roll over. Agency: a multi-website subscription using website slots, with automatic monthly scanning, weekly manual scans per active Agency website, branded client reports and optional automatic client emails.

How to create an account
  1. Open the Create Account page.
  2. Enter your optional company name, first name, last name and email address.
  3. Create and confirm a password of at least 12 characters.
  4. Accept the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
  5. Submit the form. SEO Scan Lab will send a six-digit verification code.
  6. Enter the code to verify your email. Your account is then created and you are signed in automatically.
How email verification works

The verification code contains six digits and expires after 10 minutes.

The resend button has a default 90-second cooldown. A verification session permits up to three resends. Repeated incorrect codes or excessive resend attempts can temporarily lock registration to protect the service from abuse.

Only the latest active verification session/code should be used.

Logging in and resetting your password

Log in using the email address and password attached to your SEO Scan Lab account. Successful customer logins are sent to the Dashboard.

If you cannot remember your password, select Forgot your password? on the Login page and follow the WordPress password-reset process.

For security, repeated failed login attempts are rate-limited.

Why the website URL I entered before registration appears in my Dashboard

If you enter a website URL on a public SEO Scan Lab page and then create an account or log in, SEO Scan Lab remembers that scan request. After successful email verification the portal now attempts to save the website and start the Free Scan automatically, so you should not need to request the same scan a second time.

If the automatic start is interrupted, the Dashboard keeps a clear first-scan state and the scan button has a server-side fallback. A recent verified scan request can also be recovered for a brand-new account that still has no website or scan job.

Agency plans, website slots and upgrades

Agency plans are designed for customers monitoring more than one website. Starter includes 5 website slots, Growth 20, Pro 50 and Scale 100.

The public Agency page is rendered by [ssl_agency_pricing] (alias [seo_scan_lab_agency]) and includes the Agency overview, equal-height 2×2 pricing cards, a detailed grouped feature comparison, Dashboard example and FAQs. Agency Growth is highlighted as the most popular plan. The comparison makes the key differences clear: website capacity, page allowance, full white-label reporting from Growth, and Priority Support on Pro and Scale.

An existing Monthly Monitoring customer can upgrade to Agency without intentionally running two recurring SEO Scan Lab subscriptions. The existing monitored website becomes the first Agency slot after Stripe confirms the upgrade payment.

Agency customers can add saved websites or new websites until all slots are used. Removing a website from an Agency slot stops Agency monitoring for that site but keeps historical scans and reports.

Secure client reports are rendered by [ssl_client_report] (alias [seo_scan_lab_client_report]). The report page uses the secure token in the URL and displays the latest completed Agency scan with agency branding, SEO Health summary, category scores, priority findings and pages needing attention. Starter retains SEO Scan Lab attribution; Growth and higher support white-label client-report presentation. Pro and Scale support emails are marked as Priority automatically.

Which websites am I allowed to scan?

You should only submit a website that you own, manage, or have permission and authority to scan. By submitting a domain or URL, you confirm that you are authorised to request the scan.

SEO Scan Lab also blocks local, private and otherwise unsafe network targets as part of its security checks.

02

Dashboard & scans

Run scans and understand everything shown on the Dashboard.

Dashboard summary cards

The Dashboard is website-focused. Use the website selector at the top when you manage more than one site. The main panel shows the latest SEO Health result, plan/status and the most useful next action for that website.

Below it, the Dashboard highlights the next recommended task, pages analysed, total findings, priority issues, score movement or the next monitoring scan, plus recent report information. A brand-new website shows a first-scan state instead of an empty report dashboard.

How to run a scan
  1. Open Dashboard.
  2. Enter the full website URL, for example https://example.com.
  3. Select Scan My Website.
  4. The portal creates a background scan job and displays progress.

Websites are saved automatically when you run a scan.

How SEO Scan Lab chooses the scan type

The portal checks your account and the selected website before starting a scan. A basic account can use its available Free Scan. A Full SEO Audit can cover either up to 1,000 pages or up to 10,000 pages depending on the audit level purchased. Active Monthly Monitoring allows up to 10,000 pages per scan for the website attached to that subscription.

Entitlements are tied to the website selected when the purchase is made.

Understanding scan progress

Scans run in the background. The progress panel shows a stage, percentage and status. You can leave the page while a scan is running; the job continues on the server.

The browser checks the job periodically. When it completes, the portal refreshes so the new report becomes available.

What scan statuses mean
  • Queued — the scan job has been created and is waiting to be processed.
  • Running — the scanner request is being processed.
  • Completed — the scan and report have been stored successfully.
  • Failed — the job could not complete; the progress area may show the stored error.
  • Cancelled — the job is no longer running.
Does a scan continue if I close the page?

Yes. Once the scan job has been created, the work is handled in the background by WordPress/server processing rather than by keeping your browser request open. You can leave the Dashboard and return later to check the result.

How many pages can SEO Scan Lab analyse?

Scanner V2 supports three customer-facing options. The Free Scan analyses the homepage while also discovering the approximate size of the website. The Full SEO Audit is available at two page allowances: up to 1,000 pages or up to 10,000 pages. Monthly Monitoring can analyse up to 10,000 pages per scan.

Standard one-off audits and Monthly Monitoring remain capped at 10,000 pages per scan. Agency Starter is also capped at 10,000 pages per website, while Agency Growth, Pro and Scale support up to 500,000 eligible pages per website crawl.

How many free scans do I get?

The current default product rule is one Free Scan per verified account. The Free Scan analyses the homepage, previews the top findings and discovers the website size so SEO Scan Lab can recommend the correct paid audit.

Sites with up to 1,000 discovered pages use the standard Full SEO Audit level. Websites with more than 1,000 pages can use the 10,000-page Full SEO Audit level, up to the current 10,000-page maximum.

Why can’t I run another monitoring scan immediately?

Monthly Monitoring includes one manual full scan every 7 days for the monitored website, in addition to the normal automatic monthly scan. The manual scan can analyse up to 10,000 pages.

The Dashboard and Websites page show when the next manual scan is available. Manual scan allowances do not accumulate or roll over.

03

Websites

How websites are added, stored and linked to purchases.

How websites are added to your account

You can add a website directly from Websites or it will be saved automatically the first time you run a scan.

Each website card shows its display name, domain, latest SEO Health score, last scan, Monthly Monitoring status and expected next monitoring scan. You can rename it, run a scan, open Reports or Billing, or remove it when no active monitoring subscription is attached.

What the website Status column means

Active websites appear in your customer portal. Removing a website archives the website record from your active list rather than deleting historical reports immediately. Existing reports remain subject to the normal report-retention period.

A website with active Monthly Monitoring cannot be removed until that monitoring subscription is cancelled.

Why Billing says “Add a website first”

A Full SEO Audit or Monthly Monitoring purchase must be attached to a website. If your account has no saved websites yet, run a scan from the Dashboard first. The website will then be available in the purchase selector.

Can one Monthly Monitoring subscription cover several websites?

No. The current Monthly Monitoring entitlement is tied to one website per active subscription. If you need monitoring for another website, that website requires its own monitoring entitlement.

Renaming or removing a website

Use the Rename control on a website card to change the display name without changing the actual domain.

Select Remove Website to remove a website from your active list. If Monthly Monitoring is active, cancel the subscription first. Removing a website does not immediately erase historical reports; they continue to follow the normal retention rules.

04

Reports

Scan history, report headers, scores, PDFs and report access.

Using the Reports / Scan History screen

The Reports section starts with the latest report for each website, including SEO Health, scan date, useful scan metrics and direct report/PDF actions.

Older reports are kept under Report history and grouped by website. Open a website history only when you want to compare previous scans or download an older PDF. Score movement is compared against the previous like-for-like scan type, so a Free Scan preview is not treated as the baseline for a Full SEO Audit.

Understanding the report header

At the top of an individual report you will see the website, scan number, completion date/time and scanner version. Full reports also include a PDF download action.

The scan number is useful when contacting support about a specific report.

What the SEO Health Score means

SEO Health is presented on a 0–100 scale. The portal currently uses these bands:

  • 90–100 — Excellent
  • 80–89 — Good
  • 60–79 — Needs Work
  • 0–59 — Poor

The score is a diagnostic indicator produced from the scan. It is not a guarantee of rankings, traffic or commercial performance.

Pages Scanned, Total Findings, Critical and High

The report summary shows:

  • Pages scanned — the page count reported/discovered by the scan.
  • Total findings — the number of findings currently available in that report view.
  • Critical — highest-severity findings.
  • High — significant findings that should normally be reviewed promptly.
Overview, Pages, Issues, Categories and Changes

Full reports are organised into six views:

  • Overview — summary scores, severity breakdown, weak pages and top priorities.
  • Pages — page-by-page health and issue counts.
  • Issues — searchable/filterable findings, including ignored/active status.
  • Action Plan — active findings automatically grouped into Fix first, Next and Later.
  • Categories — findings grouped by audit area.
  • Changes — comparison with the previous completed scan for the same website.
Why some report tabs are locked on a Free Scan

A Free Scan is intentionally limited. It shows the SEO Health Score and up to the top three findings. The full Action Plan, Issues, Pages, Changes and SEO Areas experience is reserved for Full SEO Audit and Monthly Monitoring reports.

After a Free Scan the Dashboard/report provides the upgrade route for the same website, so the customer can unlock a complete crawl without re-entering the domain.

Downloading a PDF report

Full SEO Audit and eligible Monthly Monitoring reports include a downloadable branded PDF. The PDF starts with an executive summary, severity counts, top-priority findings and SEO-area score chart, then groups the detailed findings by severity. Free teaser reports do not provide a full PDF download.

PDF actions appear in the report header, report history and Monitoring history.

How long reports are kept

Completed SEO Scan Lab reports are normally retained for up to 1 year. Approximately 30 days before an eligible report reaches the end of that period, the account holder is emailed so they can download the PDF if they want to keep a copy.

Deleting your account removes its associated scans and reports immediately, apart from accounting records that must legally be retained.

Ignoring and restoring an issue

Full report findings can be marked Ignore / dismiss. You can optionally record a reason. Ignored findings remain visible when you choose the ignored filter but are excluded from the Automatic Action Plan.

If you later want to work on the issue, select Restore issue and it returns to the active findings and Action Plan.

Using the Automatic Action Plan

The Action Plan report tab turns active findings into a prioritised work list:

  • Fix first — Critical, High or very high-priority findings.
  • Next — Medium or important follow-up work.
  • Later — lower-priority improvements.

Each task also suggests the most likely owner, such as Website / SEO team, Web developer / agency or Hosting / server provider. Ignored findings are excluded automatically.

05

Report: Overview

Understand each section of the report Overview.

Category scores

Where the scanner returns category scores, the Overview displays each category with its score and the same Excellent / Good / Needs Work / Poor health label used elsewhere in the report.

The exact categories available can vary with the scanner version and the data returned by the scan.

Issue breakdown by severity

The Issue Breakdown counts findings by Critical, High, Medium, Low and Info. It gives you a quick view of how serious the current findings are before you open the full Issues list.

Pages needing attention

This panel takes the lowest-scoring pages discovered in the report and shows up to five of them. Use it to identify pages that may need attention first.

What needs your attention first

The report highlights the findings that should be tackled first using severity, impact, affected-page count and the scanner's internal ordering. Customer-facing reports deliberately avoid exposing the raw internal Priority Score.

Select Open my Action Plan for the guided Fix first / Next / Later workflow, or View all issues for the complete Issues view.

06

Report: Pages

Page Health, filters, sorting and page-level findings.

Understanding the Pages table

Each row represents a page discovered or referenced by the scan. The Pages view starts with Poor / Needs Work / Good / Excellent summary cards and supports search, health/issue filters, sorting and pagination.

Each row shows the page name/path, Page Health, total findings, highest severity and a Page report action that opens the audit detail for that page.

Why “/” is shown as Home

The root URL of a website is labelled Home in the Pages table to make the report easier to read. Its path may still be shown as /.

How Page Health is calculated

If the scanner supplies a page-level score, SEO Scan Lab uses that score. If no explicit page score is supplied, the portal calculates an indicative Page Health score from the severity and priority of findings attached to that page.

This calculated page score is a prioritisation aid, not a search-engine ranking score.

Searching, filtering and sorting Pages

Use the Pages toolbar to:

  • Search by page name or path.
  • Filter by health: Poor, Needs Work, Good or Excellent.
  • Sort: Worst score first, Best score first, Most issues, or Page A–Z.

If nothing matches, the table displays “No pages match those filters.”

What the Page Detail screen shows

The Page Detail view focuses on one URL. It shows the page name, live external URL, Page Health, severity totals, category information and the findings associated with that page.

Findings are ordered by severity/priority so the most important items appear first.

07

Report: Issues

Severity, recommended fixes, affected pages and optional technical details.

Using the Issues view

The Issues view contains expandable findings. You can search the issue title/message and filter by severity and category. Open a finding to see the detailed explanation and affected pages.

What Critical, High, Medium, Low and Info mean
  • Critical — highest urgency; investigate as a priority.
  • High — significant issue likely to deserve prompt attention.
  • Medium — meaningful improvement opportunity that should be reviewed.
  • Low — lower-impact issue or refinement.
  • Info — informational observation or low-risk guidance.

Severity helps prioritise work but should be considered together with the issue details, affected pages and your business context.

How SEO Scan Lab decides what to fix first

SEO Scan Lab combines severity, likely impact, affected-page count and internal scoring to order findings. The raw internal scoring is not shown in the customer-facing report because the Action Plan translates it into practical groups.

Use Fix first for the highest-priority work, then Next, then Later. The complete Issues view remains available when you need the full technical detail.

What “confidence” means

Some findings include a confidence percentage. It indicates how confident the scanner is in that finding based on the available data. A lower confidence value does not automatically mean the issue is wrong; it may mean manual review is useful.

Scope and fix difficulty

Where supplied by the scanner, a finding can show its scope (for example page/site-level context) and a fix difficulty. These fields help you estimate how widely the issue applies and how involved the fix may be.

“Why it matters” and “Recommended fix”

Why it matters explains the likely SEO/technical importance of the finding. Recommended fix gives practical guidance on what to investigate or change.

Recommendations are guidance and should be checked against your website, CMS, design and business requirements before implementation.

Affected pages and affected count

A finding can include an affected-page count and a list of URLs. The expanded issue view shows up to the first 30 affected URLs and then indicates how many additional pages are affected when the list is longer.

08

Categories & Changes

Audit categories and comparing one scan with another.

Using the Categories view

The Categories view groups findings by audit category. Each category can show its score, total finding count and counts for Critical, High and Medium findings.

Category names depend on the information returned by the current scanner version.

What “Baseline scan” means

The first completed report for a website has no earlier report to compare with. In the Changes tab it is therefore shown as the Baseline scan. Future completed scans can be compared against it.

What “New issues” means

New issues are findings present in the current scan that were not present in the previous completed scan for the same website.

What “Fixed issues” means

Fixed issues are findings that appeared in the previous scan but no longer appear in the current scan. This normally indicates the underlying issue was resolved or is no longer detected.

What “Still present” means

Still Present contains findings detected in both the previous and current scans. These are recurring/persisting issues that have not yet disappeared from the comparison.

SEO Health change between scans

The Changes view subtracts the previous SEO Health score from the current score. A positive number means the current score is higher; a negative number means it is lower.

A score movement should be investigated together with the new, fixed and persisting findings rather than viewed in isolation.

09

Monthly Monitoring

Recurring scans, history, comparisons and cancellation.

What Monthly Monitoring includes

Monthly Monitoring is an ongoing service for one selected website. It provides regular full scans, SEO Health history, new/fixed issue tracking, comparison data and report access.

How I know Monitoring is active

When an active monitoring entitlement exists, the Monitoring page displays MONITORING ACTIVE, the monitored website, an Active status badge and the next scheduled scan date.

How the next scheduled scan date is calculated

The current default monitoring interval is approximately 30 days. The portal calculates the next due date from the latest completed full monitoring scan, or from the monitoring start date if no full scan has completed yet.

Monitoring summary statistics

The Monitoring summary shows:

  • SEO Health from the latest full scan
  • Score change since the previous full scan
  • New issues
  • Fixed issues
  • Critical issues in the latest scan
SEO Health Over Time chart

The chart uses a true rolling last 30 days timeline. Each completed full monitoring scan is positioned on the date it actually ran, so gaps between scans remain visible rather than being stretched evenly across the chart. Hovering/tapping supported chart points can show the scan date and score. The chart is designed to show the direction of site health over time rather than guarantee search performance.

Monitoring scan history

The Monitoring history lists recent full scans with Date, SEO Health, change from the previous scan and actions to View the online report or open the PDF.

The portal currently loads up to the latest 12 monitoring scans into this monitoring history/trend view.

Cancelling Monthly Monitoring

Monthly Monitoring has no 12-month contract. You can cancel at any time to stop future renewals. Use Billing and Manage billing to open Stripe's billing portal where available.

Your cancellation and refund rights are also explained in the Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy.

Why the Monitoring page only shows an upgrade message

If your account does not have an active Monthly Monitoring entitlement, the Monitoring section shows an explanation and a link to the pricing page rather than monitoring statistics/history.

10

Billing & plans

Stripe Checkout, purchases, subscriptions and billing management.

Plans & Purchases table

The Billing page lists your paid entitlements with the Product, selected Website and current Status. Products are shown as Full SEO Audit or Monthly Monitoring.

Buying a Full SEO Audit

Select the website in Billing and choose Get Full SEO Audit. The purchase is a one-off payment for that website, not a recurring subscription.

Starting Monthly Monitoring

Select the website you want to monitor and choose Start Monthly Monitoring. The Stripe checkout is created as a recurring monthly subscription tied to that website.

How Stripe Checkout works

Payments are processed through Stripe-hosted Checkout. SEO Scan Lab does not store your full card details. After successful checkout, Stripe notifies SEO Scan Lab and the appropriate entitlement is activated.

Why I see “Payment received… confirming your purchase”

After returning from a successful Stripe checkout, the portal may briefly show that Stripe is confirming the purchase. The secure Stripe webhook is the source of truth for activating paid access, so there can be a short delay between checkout completion and the entitlement appearing.

Managing your subscription and payment details

After your first successful paid purchase, Manage payment details appears under Billing and opens Stripe's secure Customer Portal. If you have Monthly Monitoring or an Agency subscription, the button reads Manage subscription; there you can review the subscription, update the payment method or billing information, cancel the subscription and view Stripe invoice history. Free accounts without a completed purchase do not see this button.

“No Stripe billing profile exists for this account yet”

This message normally means the account has not yet completed a Stripe purchase that created/linked a Stripe customer profile. Make a valid paid purchase first, or contact support if you believe you have already paid.

Why I cannot buy Monthly Monitoring twice for the same website

SEO Scan Lab blocks a second active Monthly Monitoring purchase for the same website. If monitoring is already active, use Manage subscription rather than creating another subscription.

Why prices may appear in GBP or USD

SEO Scan Lab supports separate GBP and USD Stripe prices. The website can display/use the configured price for the detected country. The exact amount shown at checkout is the amount that applies to that purchase.

Downloading your SEO Scan Lab invoices

The Billing area includes an Invoices section for successful SEO Scan Lab payments. Each invoice has a unique invoice identifier, product, date and amount and can be downloaded as a PDF.

Payments are processed by Stripe. SEO Scan Lab invoices state when VAT has not been charged because the supplier is not VAT registered.

11

Account & emails

Profile details, password, account deletion and service emails.

Changing your account details

Open Account to update your optional Company Name, First Name and Last Name. Select Save changes to store the new details.

Can I change my account email address?

In the current portal, the Email Address field is displayed but disabled. Email changes require a separate verification flow and are not currently available from the Account form.

If you need help with an email-address issue, use the Contact page.

Changing or resetting your password

Use Forgot your password? on the Login page to start a secure password reset. Never send your password through the contact form or email.

How do I delete my account?

The Account area includes a Delete Account danger zone. To delete your account you must enter your current password and tick the confirmation box acknowledging that your scans, reports and customer data will be deleted and unrecoverable.

If Monthly Monitoring is active, SEO Scan Lab attempts to cancel the Stripe subscription before deleting the account so billing cannot continue. Invoice/transaction records that must be retained for accounting or legal reasons may remain as separate accounting records.

Emails SEO Scan Lab may send

Service-related emails can include:

  • email verification codes;
  • account welcome emails;
  • password-reset/account messages generated by WordPress;
  • scan-complete / report-ready notifications;
  • billing-related messages where applicable.

WordPress-generated SEO Scan Lab email is configured to use the sender name SEO Scan Lab and the site's configured SEO Scan Lab sender address.

Contacting support

Select Contact Support in the Help Center to open your normal email app with a support message addressed to SEO Scan Lab. Support email is handled at marketing@seoscanlab.com.

Where an Agency plan includes Priority Support, the subject line is automatically marked [PRIORITY] so it can be identified quickly.

Changing your marketing email preference

Your Account page shows your current marketing preference as Yes or No. You can change the checkbox and save your account at any time.

Marketing emails are optional. Service emails such as verification codes, security notices, billing messages, report notifications and retention warnings are separate and may still be sent when necessary to provide the service.

Why an inactive account may be deleted

To keep customer data current, inactive accounts may be removed after a period without login. Free/unpaid accounts are normally eligible after 6 months of inactivity. Accounts with paid audit history but no active subscription are normally eligible after 1 year of inactivity. Active paid Monthly Monitoring accounts are not removed for inactivity while the subscription remains active.

SEO Scan Lab sends a warning approximately 30 days before scheduled inactive-account deletion. Logging in before the deletion date resets the inactivity timer.

12

Troubleshooting

Solutions to common registration, scan, report and billing problems.

My verification email has not arrived

Check your spam/junk folder and confirm the email address entered during registration is correct. Wait for the resend countdown before requesting another code. Do not repeatedly request codes because resend and anti-abuse limits apply.

If delivery still fails, use the Contact page for support.

My verification code has expired

Verification codes expire after 10 minutes. Select Resend code once the cooldown has finished, then enter the newest code you receive.

Why is the Resend code button disabled?

The button is disabled during the resend cooldown (90 seconds by default). The page displays how long remains before another code can be requested.

“Too many resend requests” / registration temporarily locked

A verification session currently allows up to three resends. Reaching abuse limits can temporarily lock registration for the email address. This protects accounts and the email system from automated abuse.

The final code already sent may still be valid until its expiry. Otherwise wait for the temporary block to expire or contact support if you believe the block is incorrect.

Too many incorrect verification attempts

Repeated incorrect verification codes can temporarily lock registration. The current default allows six incorrect-code attempts before the protective block is applied.

“An account already exists for this email address”

The email is already attached to a WordPress/SEO Scan Lab account. Use the Login page instead of creating another account. If you cannot remember the password, use the password-reset option.

“The email address or password is not correct”

Check the email address and password carefully. Passwords are case-sensitive. If the problem continues, use Forgot your password? rather than repeatedly guessing, because login attempts are rate-limited.

“Too many login attempts”

SEO Scan Lab rate-limits repeated failed login attempts by IP address and email address. Wait before trying again, then use the correct credentials or password-reset process.

My website URL is rejected

Enter a valid public http:// or https:// website URL. SEO Scan Lab applies security checks and will reject unsafe/private network targets and non-standard ports.

Try the canonical public homepage URL, for example https://example.com.

My scan appears stuck on Queued or Running

Scans depend on background processing. Give the job time to complete and refresh/reopen the Dashboard. If the same job remains queued or running for an unusually long period, contact support and include the website and approximate time you started the scan.

My scan failed

A scan may fail if a website is offline, inaccessible or denies the scanner access. If the website blocks SEO Scan Lab, the dashboard and Reports page show Scan blocked / incomplete with the reason, scanner IP and firewall guide. Resolve the access restriction, run Test scanner access and retry without buying the same audit again.

For other technical failures, contact support with the website and scan time.

“This report could not be found or you do not have permission to view it”

This appears when the requested report ID does not belong to the logged-in account, no longer exists, or is not a completed report. Return to Reports and open the report from your own Scan History.

“The stored report could not be read”

The saved report data could not be parsed. This is not a normal customer error. Contact support and include the website and scan number shown in the report URL/history.

“No page-level data was recorded” / “No page URLs were returned”

This means the scan/report did not provide usable page URLs for the Pages view. Some limited/older scanner responses may contain findings without enough page-level data to build the full page explorer.

“No issues match those filters”

Clear the issue search box and set Severity and Category back to All. The message only means the current filter combination has no matching findings.

“No pages match those filters”

Clear the Pages search box, choose All scores, and reset the sort if needed. The underlying report is still available; only the current filter combination is empty.

The Changes tab does not show New/Fixed issues

If this is the first completed report for the website, there is no earlier scan to compare against. The Changes view therefore shows Baseline scan. Complete another scan later to create comparison data.

I cannot see a PDF download button

PDF download is not available for the Free Scan preview. Open a completed Full SEO Audit or eligible Monthly Monitoring report. If a paid full report still has no PDF action, contact support.

I paid but the purchase has not appeared yet

Wait briefly and refresh the Billing page. Paid access is activated from Stripe's signed webhook rather than trusting the browser return page. If the entitlement still does not appear after a reasonable period, contact support with the purchase date and account details.

“Too many checkout requests”

Checkout creation is rate-limited to prevent duplicate or abusive requests. Wait a few minutes before trying again, and avoid repeatedly clicking the purchase button.

Portal looks out of date after login, payment or scan

Customer Login, Registration and Dashboard pages are configured with no-cache headers, but browser/server caching can still occasionally cause stale display. Refresh the page, sign out/in if necessary, and avoid opening a cached copy of an authenticated page.

My account says it has been suspended

A suspended SEO Scan Lab customer account cannot use the portal and can be blocked at login. Use the Contact page to ask support to review the account status.

Does SEO Scan Lab retry a failed scan?

Temporary internal scanner/network failures may retry automatically. A website security block is not retried automatically: repeated requests could make the block worse. The website owner should adjust the firewall, run a connection test and choose Retry this scan. Existing billing arrangements do not change.

Allow SEO Scan Lab through your firewall (all website platforms)

If your scan says Scan blocked / incomplete, your website or a security service between the scanner and your website may have blocked requests. SEO Scan Lab will not create a new SEO score from the blocking page. A blocked paid scan can be retried using the existing purchased audit or active monitoring/Agency access.

Scanner outbound IP: 77.68.51.60. This is the address observed for SEO Scan Lab; if your site’s logs show a different source IP, confirm it with support before adding an exception. An IP address is more reliable than trusting a User-Agent alone.

  1. Open your website firewall/security logs and find the block at your scan time (commonly HTTP 403, 429 or 503).
  2. Identify the rule that blocked the scanner, e.g. crawler requests per minute, bot challenge or WAF rule.
  3. Allow the scanner IP for the necessary website requests or adjust that specific rate-limit rule. Prefer a narrow firewall exception over globally disabling your firewall.
  4. On SEO Scan Lab’s scan-blocked panel, click Test scanner access. It checks the homepage, sitemap and a few internal pages without consuming a scan.
  5. Once the test passes, choose Retry this scan. The test cannot guarantee the website will keep allowing requests during a full audit.

If you do not manage the security system, send this to your host: “Please check why requests from SEO Scan Lab scanner IP 77.68.51.60 were blocked while auditing my website. Please allow the necessary read-only requests to public pages and XML sitemaps, or advise which bot/rate-limit rule needs adjusting. I want the rest of the website firewall left enabled.”

WordPress / Wordfence: unblock the scanner

In your WordPress administrator, open Wordfence → Firewall → Blocking. Find the scanner IP 77.68.51.60 and remove existing blocks for that IP. Check Wordfence → Tools → Live Traffic to see the reason for the original block.

If Wordfence reports “Exceeded the maximum number of requests per minute for crawlers”, review Wordfence → Firewall → All Firewall Options → Rate Limiting and choose a rate that accommodates your legitimate scanners. Throttling is generally less disruptive than a long IP block. Only if appropriate, create an IP exception with the smallest scope your Wordfence version supports. Wordfence’s global allowlist bypasses all Wordfence rules for that IP, so do not use it casually for a shared scanner host.

Return to SEO Scan Lab and run the connection test before retrying.

Cloudflare: check Security Events and WAF rules

Open your Cloudflare dashboard, choose the domain, and check Security → Events (the label may vary by dashboard version) for blocked or challenged requests from 77.68.51.60 around your scan time.

Inspect the action and matched rule. Where the relevant Cloudflare product supports it, create a scoped WAF custom rule or skip rule for that source IP and the specific blocking control. Do not assume a general Allow action overrides every managed challenge or Bot Fight Mode setting. Some protections require a plan-specific rule, different configuration or Cloudflare support.

Retest from the SEO Scan Lab dashboard. Keep unrelated Cloudflare protections enabled.

Sucuri Firewall: check blocked requests and allow the scanner

In the Sucuri Firewall portal, inspect security logs for blocked requests from 77.68.51.60. Check Firewall Access Control for the current IP allowlist and add a narrowly scoped exception if available. Review Sucuri bot/rate-limiting settings or ask Sucuri support to allow read-only scanning of public pages and sitemaps from that IP. Then test the connection in SEO Scan Lab.

Plesk, cPanel, ModSecurity and managed hosting

On Plesk or cPanel, check the site’s security and ModSecurity logs or ask your hosting support team. A block could come from Imunify360, ModSecurity, an edge CDN, a server firewall or a WordPress plugin. Ask which system generated the response, then add a limited exception for 77.68.51.60 or adjust only the rule that caused the scan to stop.

If you use nginx, Apache or a custom WAF, review access/error logs for the scan timestamp. The exception must apply to the hostname being audited and relevant public page/sitemap routes. Do not disable ModSecurity or open the whole server firewall just to allow a scan.

Shopify, Wix, Squarespace and other managed website platforms

Some managed platforms do not provide direct control over the underlying firewall. First check any third-party CDN, security app, reverse proxy or bot-protection service you have configured. If none applies, contact the platform’s support with your domain, scan time, sample blocked URL and scanner IP 77.68.51.60.

Ask whether the platform can permit access to public HTML and XML sitemap URLs, or identify a supported way to verify a legitimate SEO crawler. Do not attempt to change infrastructure settings that the platform does not expose. Return to SEO Scan Lab and use Test scanner access before retrying.

What happens to my audit when a website blocks a scan?

SEO Scan Lab cannot override your website’s security rules. A blocked attempt is marked incomplete and no new full-site score is issued. Your existing purchase, invoice and subscription are unchanged. A one-off audit is not marked consumed until a successful completed report is saved. A blocked manual Agency or Monthly Monitoring attempt does not start the seven-day cooldown.

Follow the firewall instructions, select Test scanner access, then Retry this scan on the latest blocked attempt. The retry uses the original scan’s page allowance and must be for the same website/account. If you cannot change the firewall, contact support with the website and blocked scan time.
